What people say

Fantastic experience with amazing people. I went to Uganda alone relying solely on OTP organization. Not only I was amazed by the activities and places discovered, but I also met very nice people that are now friends I will for sure see again. OTP makes you explore smoothly remote and beautiful places but also connects you with people similar to you. Thumbs up !

Just got back from Uganda with Off The Path UAE - what an adventure!
Uganda completely blew me away, and the team made sure every single day was seamless: smooth logistics, comfortable arrangements, zero stress. What I loved most was how packed the itinerary was - I crossed off more items from my travel wishlist in this one trip than I usually do in an entire year.
If you're thinking about booking with them, just do it. You'll be in great hands with nothing to worry about except enjoying every moment.
This is Bangladesh up close — vibrant, intense and deeply authentic.
Beyond Dhaka’s bustling streets, discover peaceful tea country, river life, colourful markets and rural communities where traditions are part of everyday life.
But what may stay with you most is the people. Expect remarkable hospitality, genuine curiosity, warm welcomes and spontaneous encounters along the way.
A journey of contrasts - raw and deeply human.
Come with an open mind. Bangladesh will surprise you.

Day 1 — Welcome to Bangladesh & the Candle Light Festival
Our journey begins on an island along the Meghna River, where we'll experience rural life and meet local villagers.
In the afternoon, we'll continue to Barodi for the spectacular Candle Light Festival, when thousands of candles illuminate the area, before returning to Dhaka for the night.
Day 2 — Inside the Chaos of Old Dhaka
Dive into the energy of Bangladesh's capital, starting at Karwan Bazar, the country's largest wholesale market.
We'll then explore the maze of Old Dhaka, from colourful markets and historic neighbourhoods to mosques, Lalbagh Fort, Ahsan Manzil and the Buriganga River.
Day 3 — By Train into Tea Country
Board a local train for the scenic journey to Sreemangal, watching Dhaka gradually give way to villages, countryside and tea plantations.
We'll settle into our resort surrounded by historic tea estates before discovering local handicrafts, pottery, a rubber forest and Sreemangal's famous seven-layer tea.
Day 4 — Rural Sreemangal
Go deeper into Bangladesh's greenest region, exploring a local market, tea plantations, farming villages and a Khasi indigenous community.
We'll also discover the natural landscapes of Baikka Beel Wetland, Madhabpur Lake and Lawachara National Park before returning to our resort.
Day 5 — Sreemangal to Sylhet
Travel north to Sylhet, exploring its historic landmarks, tea-growing communities and colourful local markets.
We'll continue towards the landscapes of Lalakhal and Jaflong, near the Indian border, before beginning our overnight journey back to Dhaka.
Day 6 — Textiles & the Overnight Ferry
Discover the craftsmanship behind Bangladesh's famous Jamdani textiles and explore one of Dhaka's major clothing markets.
After some time to rest, we'll head to Sadarghat and board our overnight ferry to Barisal. Settle into your cabin and experience life on Bangladesh's waterways.
Day 7 — Floating Markets & Water Lilies
Wake up in southern Bangladesh and explore Barisal's floating markets, travelling through a region where boats remain part of everyday life.
We'll also visit the seasonal water-lily wetlands before travelling back towards Dhaka via Bagerhat and its historic Sixty Dome Mosque.
Day 8 — Until Next Time... or Keep Exploring
Our main Bangladesh journey comes to an end.
Head home with a completely different perspective on this extraordinary country — or keep exploring with us as we fly south for our optional extension.
OPTIONAL EXTENSION · 13–17 NOVEMBER 2027
EXTENSION DAY 1 — Chittagong
Fly south to Chittagong, Bangladesh's largest port city.
We'll experience the extraordinary shipbreaking coast from the water, explore a market filled with equipment recovered from dismantled ships, and discover Chittagong's colourful mosque and local bazaar.
EXTENSION DAY 2 — Into the Bandarban Hill Tracts
Leave the city behind and enter the restricted Bandarban Hill Tracts, home to many of Bangladesh's indigenous communities.
We'll explore the tribal market and Golden Temple before taking to the river and visiting local villages surrounded by the hills.
EXTENSION DAY 3 — Villages & Cox's Bazar
Travel deeper into the hills by local tuk-tuk or jeep, visiting several indigenous villages and a local school.
In the afternoon, we'll leave Bandarban behind and continue to Cox's Bazar for our final night in southeastern Bangladesh.
EXTENSION DAY 4 — Cox's Bazar & Dhaka
Explore the coast around Cox's Bazar, beginning with a traditional dry-fish village before travelling towards the Rohingya refugee camp area and visiting a historic Buddhist temple.
In the evening, we'll fly back to Dhaka for our final night.
