What people say

Sina, Morocco

Fantastic experience with amazing people. I went to Uganda alone relying solely on OTP organization. Not only I was amazed by the activities and places discovered, but I also met very nice people that are now friends I will for sure see again. OTP makes you explore smoothly remote and beautiful places but also connects you with people similar to you. Thumbs up !

Just got back from Uganda with Off The Path UAE - what an adventure!

Uganda completely blew me away, and the team made sure every single day was seamless: smooth logistics, comfortable arrangements, zero stress. What I loved most was how packed the itinerary was - I crossed off more items from my travel wishlist in this one trip than I usually do in an entire year.

If you're thinking about booking with them, just do it. You'll be in great hands with nothing to worry about except enjoying every moment.

This is not your typical safari — it’s a journey through Uganda’s richest ecosystems.

You’ll track rhinos, chimpanzees, and mountain gorillas, move between forests and savannahs, and slow down by crater lakes and wetlands. Days are active and immersive, shaped by nature, wildlife encounters, and local guides.

This trip is for travelers who seek depth, respect wildlife, and value meaningful experiences over spectacle.

Come with patience and curiosity — Uganda rewards both.

Day 1 — Welcome to Uganda

Arrival in Entebbe and transfer to the hotel. Time to rest, recover from the journey, enjoy the pool and meet the rest of the group before our adventure begins.

Overnight in Entebbe.

Day 2 — In Search of the Shoebill

An early morning boat excursion through Mabamba Swamp in search of the elusive shoebill, one of Africa’s most sought-after birds.

After lunch, we begin our journey southwest through Uganda’s lush countryside toward Lake Mburo National Park.

Overnight near Lake Mburo.

Day 3 — Walking with Wildlife

Start the day with a guided walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park, one of the few places in Uganda where wildlife can be explored on foot.

Later, we continue through rolling hills and terraced landscapes to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Overnight near Bwindi.

Day 4 — Gorilla Trekking

A day dedicated to one of the greatest wildlife encounters on Earth. Trek through Bwindi Forest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family and spend an unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon, we drive to the peaceful shores of Lake Bunyonyi.

Overnight at Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 5 — Lake Bunyonyi

A slower day to enjoy one of Uganda’s most beautiful landscapes. Relax by the lake, explore its islands by boat or canoe, or simply take in the views of the surrounding hills.

Overnight at Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 6 — Crater Lakes & Local Life

We leave Lake Bunyonyi behind and travel north toward Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Along the way, we stop at scenic crater lakes and visit the traditional salt pans of Lake Katwe, where local communities have harvested salt for generations.

Overnight near Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 7 — Safari & Kazinga Channel

A full day exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park.

We begin with a game drive in search of elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and, with some luck, lions. In the afternoon, a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel offers exceptional opportunities to observe hippos, crocodiles and abundant birdlife up close.

Overnight in the park.

Day 8 — Chimpanzees & Return to Entebbe

Track wild chimpanzees through Kalinzu Forest and experience the energy of our closest relatives in their natural environment.

After the trek, we begin the journey back to Entebbe.

Overnight in Entebbe.

Day 9 — Markets & Farewell

Depending on flight schedules, we visit a local market for a final glimpse into daily life in Uganda before transferring to the airport.

You leave having tracked gorillas and chimpanzees, walked alongside wildlife, explored lakes and savannahs, and experienced a different side of East Africa.

Departure from Entebbe.
